Requirements
Must:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Chemistry, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a product development role, from concept to launch.
- A strong understanding of ingredient functionality.
- Experience formulating within food, beverage, or nutrition categories.
- Organized with project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver customer-led and internally driven NPD and innovation projects.
- Formulate and develop products such as premixes, nutritional products, RTD beverages, and dairy-alternative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope and define project requirements, costs, and approval criteria.
- Provide formulation, nutritional, and technical support across the business.
- Lead product trials internally and with co-manufacturers; attend first productions to ensure smooth implementation.
- Conduct sensory assessments and advise on shelf-life and packaging considerations.
- Support Sales with customer presentations and technical input.
- Build ingredient knowledge, monitor market trends, and identify innovative opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with Procurement and Quality to approve new raw materials and suppliers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the NPD process.
