Requirements

Must:
### - Understanding of management systems (Microsoft Configuration Manager, Group Policy, Intune, JAMF Pro). - Knowledge of application packaging and deployment, including device patching across Microsoft Windows (workstations and servers), macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems. - Experience in operating system deployment, management, and image creation, including device enrollment in MDM systems. - Background in configuring and supporting print services for multiple user groups. - Experience working within an ITIL framework, managing incidents, requests, changes, and problems through a service desk system. - Familiarity with enterprise hardware and the construction of a hardware catalogue. - Proficiency in MacOS, Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Android, iOS, Group Policy, MDM (specifically Microsoft Intune), Jamf Pro, Systems Administration (including printing), Network fundamentals, Citrix Cloud. ###

Responsibilities

- Operate Device Management technologies to configure devices, including desktops, laptops, Macs, mobile devices, and digital signage. - Provide third-line support for Device Management services, managing requests from the service desk and users. - Prioritize requests according to agreed criteria and allocate unresolved calls appropriately. - Log Requests for Change for Device Management systems and follow standard approval processes. - Investigate and resolve support requests through system modifications, work-arounds, and training. - Ensure that all work is documented according to required standards and that documentation is accessible. - Monitor support request progress and manage customer expectations for excellent service. - Actively review the performance of Device Management services, managing availability and capacity, while supporting the team during major incidents. - Serve as an effective interface between users and service providers, documenting problems and ensuring diagnostic information is available. - Conduct investigations into operational problems and propose improvements. - Support project work while prioritizing tasks alongside business-as-usual duties. ###

We are the Parliamentary Digital Service (PDS), a joint department supporting both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Our Technology team, consisting of over 450 professionals, manages Parliament's digital platforms and services. The Device Management team specifically handles the specifications and types of devices used across Parliament, collaborating with the Hardware Asset Management team to ensure our hardware catalogue meets user needs while balancing value and usability. This team is responsible for device management, operating system deployment, and print services, all in support of delivering a modern digital democracy.
