Must:
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in developing with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse). A strong understanding of data integration and API connectivity across multiple business systems is essential (preferably including Sage 50, Business Central, or equivalent ERP software). Familiarity with secure web development practices (authentication, encryption, role-based access) is required, along with competency in JavaScript, Power Fx, REST APIs, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) within Power Platform environments. Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint integration is also important. Experience with GitHub or similar version control systems is necessary, as well as an understanding of information security frameworks (ISO 27001) and/or experience working within regulated industries such as defence, aerospace, or critical infrastructure. Strong problem-solving and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical designs into business-friendly insights, are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on, high-impact role, I will lead the development and integration of business-critical applications using Microsoft Power Platform. This includes creating Power Apps, Power BI dashboards, automated workflows, and Power Pages portals. I will integrate the Power Platform with Sage 50 and/or Microsoft Business Central to ensure a seamless data flow across finance, operations, and quality management. My responsibilities will also include building secure, scalable solutions aligned with MOD Secure by Design (SbD) and Cyber Defence Readiness (CyDR) principles, as well as developing real-time dashboards that enhance operational visibility, productivity, and customer satisfaction. I will collaborate with Quality, Compliance, and Operations teams to automate controls, traceability logs, and risk reports supporting ISO 27001 and AS9100 frameworks. Additionally, I will design and maintain Power Pages portals for customer communication and feedback collection, embed secure coding and data handling standards across all applications, and stay current with Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, and emerging AI automation tools.
