Must:
We are looking for a candidate with extensive commercial experience in Golang for back-end development. Familiarity with Python is advantageous but not essential. You should have a proven ability to build and support applications at scale, ideally in microservices environments. A strong understanding of web technologies, alongside experience in web scraping or automation, is essential. Knowledge of information security principles and secure coding practices is also necessary. Excellent communication and documentation skills are required, and you should be comfortable working independently while being able to hit the ground running. Experience working in global, distributed teams is a plus.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will create tools that emulate malicious activity to detect and fix weaknesses in web platforms. You will be responsible for building and enhancing microservice-based automation pipelines to test and strengthen web applications. Additionally, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end systems for our internal web crawling and scraping tools. Collaboration with engineering and security stakeholders across global teams is vital, and you will be expected to deliver high-quality, efficient code in an agile environment with minimal supervision.
Description
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role suited for experienced engineers who are confident working autonomously and contributing to complex systems with minimal onboarding. We are particularly interested in candidates who can start immediately or at short notice and who are willing to work flexibly as needed to help clear a growing backlog of work. This position offers a 3-month rolling contract, with the potential to extend up to 2 years, at a rate of £600-£650 per day (inside IR35). Our work environment is hybrid, requiring you to be in London for 3 days per week, with 2 days of remote work.
