Responsibilities

In this role, I will expect you to lead the daily activities of the service desk, ensuring smooth operations and meeting SLA expectations. You’ll be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and developing team members to bring out their best. Running morning huddles, allocating work, and providing escalation support will be your tasks. You will build a positive, energetic team culture focused on high standards and great customer service. Additionally, acting as the technical escalation point for L1/L2 issues, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and Microsoft 365 issues, and maintaining accurate documentation and knowledge base articles will be vital. You will also contribute to improving processes, reporting, KPIs, and service performance, working towards ITIL-aligned practices, and evolving the team for broader service coverage and international support.

Description

We want someone who may have experience leading diverse or multi-location teams and exposure to out-of-hours or international service operations. Ideally, you should be interested in developing into an IT Service Manager within 18–24 months. Comfort in influencing stakeholders, leading meetings, and driving improvement is key. Experience in an MSP environment is highly desirable. At PAAC IT, we offer a clear, structured career path into IT Service Management, a fast-growing MSP with exciting client work, and a supportive, energetic, values-led team. You will benefit from training plans, certifications, and personal development opportunities while having the chance to genuinely shape the future of our service desk. This is a full-time position with a salary range of £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year. Benefits include bereavement leave, casual dress, company events, a company pension, flexitime, paid volunteer time, and sick pay. You must reliably commute or plan to relocate to Haslemere GU27 2PE before starting work. A clean Enhanced DBS check is required to work with children, and you must have work authorization in the United Kingdom. This position is in-person.
