Requirements
Must:
- Systems-oriented thinker who treats service design as a way of thinking, not a set of deliverables
- Confident in conducting research and synthesizing evidence into direction
- Skilled at communicating across operations, policy, product, and technology—both technically and creatively
- Comfortable challenging assumptions constructively and proposing alternatives
- Curious and integrating AI into analysis, synthesis, or modeling
- Adaptable across roles such as researcher, facilitator, modeler, and prototyper based on need
- Ability to guide teams through ambiguity with structure and plain language
- Experience producing outputs that teams use to make decisions and deliver change
- Strong focus on outcomes: better decisions, better services, better experiences
- Residency in the UK for at least 5 years for certain roles requiring security clearance
Responsibilities
- Apply service design mindset and methods including research, synthesis, and modeling
- Plan and conduct interviews, workshops, and desk research to gather user insights
- Turn complexity into clear insights and practical opportunities
- Co-create future service options with stakeholders and facilitate alignment
- Communicate how services work using various fidelity levels of design
- Test concepts through pilots, simulations, or behavioral experiments
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate sense-making and option exploration
- Present implications and recommendations in actionable terms for senior stakeholders
- Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and independently as needed
