As the IT Infrastructure Engineer, I will ensure the smooth and continued operation of all IT infrastructure systems, remediating issues as necessary and assisting with the introduction of new services as deemed appropriate. I will support IT Operations Engineers, acting as an escalation point for end-user issues across all Oxalis sites and locations. Additionally, I will collaborate with the I&O Manager and Technical Architect to optimize our IT landscape, ensuring it is right-sized and cost-efficient at all times. My key duties will include using Microsoft Defender and NinjaOne (RMM) tooling to evaluate and monitor our cybersecurity landscape, identifying, remediating, and re-assessing vulnerabilities in our server and client infrastructure alongside our external SOC. I will also use Microsoft 365 products, such as Intune, for software packaging and deployment, managing client infrastructure through Intune policies and EntraID for conditional access and identity management. Furthermore, I will prepare the Oxalis Azure infrastructure for the migration of our existing Data Centre infrastructure into Azure and manage contracted third parties to ensure effective service execution. I will oversee the operational performance of IT systems, ensuring they operate within expected parameters and promptly remediating any issues to maintain optimal infrastructure services for application workloads.
