We are looking for someone who possesses strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively across different teams and cultures. You should have broad exposure to traditional IT infrastructure and the ability to assess multiple options objectively to ensure fit-for-purpose suppliers and services. A proactive work ethic is essential, as well as the ability to drive change within IT systems. You must be able to take ownership of decisions within your remit and clearly communicate the rationale and outcomes. Flexibility for potential UK site visits, out-of-hours work, and international travel is also necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will apply your expert knowledge in the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft's cloud technology stack, with a particular focus on Azure Infrastructure, 365, Defender, and Intune. You will support IT operations, act as an escalation point for end-user issues, and collaborate with the I&O Manager and Technical Architect to optimise cloud infrastructure. Your key technical duties will include contributing to Azure Cloud migration and service optimisation while considering security best practices and cost optimisations. You will use Microsoft tooling and the RMM platform to deliver outstanding support to our users, provision Windows devices, package and deliver software, and manage user identities. Additionally, you will coordinate and oversee third-party activities to ensure the successful delivery of service terms, manage incidents and changes using JIRA Service Management, and remediate identified vulnerabilities while contributing to our security landscape. Description
We offer a total reward package that includes a basic salary of up to £55,000, 23 days of holiday per annum (increasing with service), 8 bank holidays, pension contributions, life insurance of 2x salary, sick pay, a BP fuel card, free onsite parking, a cycle to work scheme, local gym discounts, and an employee assistance programme. We conduct annual salary reviews and provide ample opportunities for training and development. The position has a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential for hybrid working arrangements, allowing for some flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.
