Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years C++ experience
- Minimum of 5 years software development experience
- Understanding of UML or similarly high-level design methodology
- Understanding of the Linux Operating System is desirable
Responsibilities
I will support the maintenance, further development, and enhancement of multiple software systems within the Autonomy group. My role will involve designing, reviewing, developing, testing, documenting, configuring, and delivering software products to agreed standards and procedures using specified tools. I will ensure that software products are tested sufficiently to maintain quality and minimize re-work. Additionally, I will investigate and resolve obsolescence issues and problems that arise during any stage of the development lifecycle, which includes software and system integration, qualification, and in-service trials. Effective communication is key, so I will identify potential risks early, seek clarification, and provide feedback to the software and integration lead.

We are offering an hourly rate of £33.30 PAYE or £44.81 Umbrella for a 12-month contract with the opportunity to be extended. The position is based in Portsmouth and follows a hybrid model of 2 to 4 days per week on-site, with working hours of 37 hours per week.
