Requirements
Must:
- We require a minimum of 5 years experience in Network Engineering roles.
- We require strong knowledge of switching, routing, firewalling, and voice systems.
- We require experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructures.
- We require an understanding of network security and VPN technologies.
- We require Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent.
- We require strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- We require active MOD SC Clearance.
- We require Sole UK Nationals only.
- We require the role to be worked onsite in Barrow-in-Furness 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- We install and configure network infrastructure and hardware.
- We support switching, routing, firewall, and load balancing activities.
- We conduct infrastructure surveys and technical refresh activities.
- We support office moves, adds, and changes.
- We perform network testing and impact assessments.
- We troubleshoot LAN/WAN and voice network environments.
- We work alongside Project Managers, Architects, and Technical SMEs to deliver network infrastructure projects within a secure enterprise environment.
Description
We are supporting a major programme based in Barrow-in-Furness and are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join us on a 6-month contract. This is a fully onsite role, working 5 days per week in a secure enterprise environment alongside Project Managers, Architects, and Technical SMEs. The contract is offered at £552 per day / £73.60 per hour, and requires active MOD SC Clearance and Sole UK Nationals only.
