Requirements
Must:
- Broad and in-depth understanding and application of UK employment legislation in a business context
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a primarily ER-based role
- Experience managing a challenging ER caseload in a multi-site business
- Ability to communicate and influence at all levels in a business, including senior management
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience operating in a unionized environment
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of employee relations matters, including restructuring, redundancy, and TUPE
- Advise managers on complex issues such as attendance, conduct, and restructures
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and provide coaching to managers
- Support formal meetings and hearings, fostering constructive relationships with Trade Unions
- Contribute to updating ER toolkits and reviewing policies
- Identify broader ER trends across the business and develop solutions
- Lead ER training sessions to enhance manager capabilities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and implement process improvements
