Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of energy markets, including supply demand fundamentals, storage, flows, and pricing
- Proven background in energy analytics and forecasting, including scenario modelling
- Experience with major energy hubs (e.g., TTF, JKM) and cross-commodity linkage
- Solid understanding of feature engineering, statistical modelling, and ML workflows
- Strong Python skills (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Jupyter)
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to simplify complex concepts
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Business Analysis partner to Energy Analytics and Quantitative teams
- Analyse and document complex modelling and forecasting requirements
- Support the evolution of the Analytics & Modelling Platform, including modelling frameworks, data pipelines, and analytical tooling
- Define requirements for large, complex datasets (market data, weather, flows, storage, fundamentals)
- Support Python-based analytics and modelling solutions
- Contribute to model documentation standards and lifecycle governance
- Own backlog contributions, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Drive alignment between business stakeholders and the engineering team
Description
We are looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support the design and delivery of an analytics and modelling platform (AMP) across the energy markets. This role is critical in enabling advanced analytics and driving commercial decision-making. You will collaborate with Quant Analysts, Fundamental Analysts, Data Scientists, Developers, and Product Owners in a hybrid work environment based in London.
