Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in asset management, particularly in lab environments
- Proficiency in governance and operational control frameworks
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records
- Familiarity with hardware management platforms (Lenovo xClarity, Dell OEM tools, HPE Compute Ops Management)
- Ability to coordinate between multiple teams and external suppliers
- Understanding of audit, risk, and compliance processes
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration
- Experience with project management and financial oversight
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all hardware and software assets across test lab environments
- Oversee the full asset lifecycle, including allocation, reuse, and secure decommissioning
- Ensure all lab usage is linked to approved funding, projects, or Clarity demands
- Manage governance of environment and console access, ensuring permissions are approved, monitored, and removed when no longer required
- Act as the primary point of coordination between lab teams, delivery programmes, PMO, finance, and vendors
- Provide operational oversight and reporting to support audit, risk, and compliance requirements
- Apply and operate within established enterprise governance and control frameworks
- Maintain strong working knowledge of supplier hardware management platforms
Description
We are looking for a Data Center Asset Lead to take ownership of the governance and operational control of our clients lab environments in Leeds on a contract basis. This hybrid role is critical for ensuring lab assets, access, and usage are managed and auditable, aligning with approved funding and enterprise control standards. We offer a collaborative work environment where you will work closely with delivery teams, PMO, finance, and external suppliers to enable stable environments that support programme delivery while upholding operational discipline.
