Requirements
Must:
- Data center experience required
- Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management
- Experience with governance and operational control
- Proficient in supplier hardware management platforms (e.g., Lenovo xClarity, Dell OEM tools, HPE Compute Ops Management)
- Ability to coordinate between multiple teams (lab teams, delivery programmes, PMO, finance, vendors)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills for audit, risk, and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all hardware and software assets across test lab environments
- Oversee the full asset lifecycle, including allocation, reuse, and secure decommissioning
- Ensure all lab usage is linked to approved funding, projects, or Clarity demands
- Manage governance of environment and console access, ensuring permissions are approved, monitored, and removed as needed
- Act as the primary point of coordination between lab teams, delivery programmes, PMO, finance, and vendors
- Provide operational oversight and reporting to support audit, risk, and compliance requirements
- Apply and operate within established enterprise governance and control frameworks
Description
We are looking for a Lab Environment & Asset Lead to take ownership of the governance and operational control of our clients lab environments. This is a contract position offering £580 per day and allows for hybrid work, based in Leeds. We collaborate closely with delivery teams, PMO, finance, and external suppliers to enable stable environments that support program delivery while maintaining strong operational discipline.
