Requirements
Must:
- Strong VMware experience (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi)
- Experience in architecture / design-led roles
- Proven background in infrastructure migrations or consolidation projects
- Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure (compute, storage, networking)
- Exposure to NSX or software-defined networking is advantageous
- Experience within multi-site or complex environments (desirable)
- Knowledge of hybrid/cloud environments (Azure/AWS) (desirable)
- Previous involvement in large-scale transformation projects (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of VMware environments across multiple sites
- Drive consolidation and migration of existing infrastructure into a central platform
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to shape technical direction
- Ensure scalability, performance and security across the environment
- Support delivery teams through implementation phases
Description
We are a growing organisation undergoing a significant infrastructure transformation, and we are looking to bring in a Platform Architect to take ownership of our virtualisation and data centre strategy. This role will be key in designing and delivering a consolidated, scalable platform, integrating multiple environments into a centralised estate.
