Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience in data centre or on-prem compute environments
- Practical experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
- Solid understanding of server hardware, firmware, and asset lifecycle management
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
- Windows and/or Linux server administration experience
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain data centre compute infrastructure (physical servers, racks, blades, HCI)
- Install, upgrade, and maintain physical server hardware
- Support virtualised platforms and resolve VM-related issues
- Rack and stack servers
- Support both Windows and Linux server environments
- Handle hardware faults, firmware updates, and supplier RMAs
Description
We are looking for Data Centre Engineers for a 9-month contract based in Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join our technical team responsible for maintaining reliable and secure critical data centre systems.
