Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software asset management
- Proven experience in operational oversight within lab environments
- Familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in using supplier hardware management platforms (e.g., Lenovo xClarity, Dell OEM tools, HPE Compute Ops Management)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all hardware and software assets across test lab environments
- Oversee the full asset lifecycle, including allocation, reuse, and secure decommissioning
- Ensure all lab usage is linked to approved funding, projects, or Clarity demands
- Manage governance of environment and console access, ensuring permissions are approved, monitored, and removed when no longer required
- Act as the primary point of coordination between lab teams, delivery programmes, PMO, finance, and vendors
- Provide operational oversight and reporting to support audit, risk, and compliance requirements
- Apply and operate within established enterprise governance and control frameworks
Description
We are seeking a Lab Environment & Asset Lead to take ownership of the governance and operational control of our clients lab environments in Leeds. This hybrid contract role is essential for ensuring that lab assets, access, and usage are tightly managed and fully auditable. You will work closely with delivery teams, PMO, finance, and external suppliers to maintain stable environments that support programme delivery while ensuring strong operational discipline. Our team prioritizes control, compliance, and enablement, making this an operations-focused role that requires a detailed-oriented individual.
