Requirements
Must:
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning and computer vision (PhD research can count toward experience)
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Solid experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong understanding of computer vision techniques, including CNNs, object detection, and image segmentation
- Experience working with satellite or aerial imagery for tasks such as object detection, classification, or change detection
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployment and MLOps tools, including Docker and Azure
- Experience handling large datasets and optimizing model performance
- Additional desirable attributes: Experience with geospatial data formats (GeoTIFF, Shapefiles), familiarity with remote sensing concepts and Earth observation data, experience with MLOps pipelines, CI/CD, or model monitoring, background in working with large-scale, production-grade ML systems
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement object detection models using satellite imagery data
- Design end-to-end computer vision pipelines, from data preprocessing to model training and evaluation
- Work with multi-source satellite imagery (e.g., optical, SAR) and prepare datasets for machine learning
- Optimize model accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency
- Deploy trained models using Docker and integrate them into cloud-based environments (Azure)
- Collaborate with geospatial, data engineering, and product teams to translate business problems into technical solutions
- Validate model outputs and continuously improve performance using feedback and new data
- Document methodologies, experiments, and results clearly for internal and external stakeholders
