Requirements

Must:
- I am looking for a candidate with extensive experience in IT, ideally at a strategic level, who has a strong history of reporting to the Board. - You should have experience in a complex IT environment that is solution-focused, as well as a proven track record of leading large, complex IT projects in fast-paced settings. - Strong leadership and team management experience are essential. - A degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related subject is required. - Familiarity with methodologies such as PRINCE2, ITIL, Scrum, and Agile is important. - You should have significant exposure or a keen interest in IT governance and information security disciplines. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, especially in explaining technical concepts to senior leaders, including non-technical staff. - A good understanding of data privacy (GDPR) governance and risk management activities and their influence on IT and business operations is required. - Proficiency in the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly M365, D365 F&O, Power Suite, and Fabric is essential. - Proven experience with Data & Business Intelligence within an ERP-focused environment is also important.

Responsibilities

- I will expect you to plan, develop, and execute the corporate IT & Systems Strategy and roadmap to support the Group's strategic plans, enhancing client services, improving user effectiveness, and encouraging innovation. - You will review and adapt IT processes, policies, and methods that align with the long-term strategic vision of both the IT function and the Group. - Analyzing the business IT requirements of the Group to assess their IT & Systems needs will be part of your role. - You will be liaising regularly with executive and senior management regarding IT strategic deliverables, including providing service level KPIs. - Leading the IT team, you will be responsible for performance management, recruitment, and employee relations, supported by the Group's People team. - It's important to maintain operational IT plans and lead the team to ensure ongoing IT & Systems support across the Group, including outsourcing/insourcing activities. - You will ensure that the Group maintains or achieves appropriate accreditations (e.g., cyber essentials Plus, ISO) following the IT & Systems Strategy. - Maintaining high-performing service support functions, including service desk, onsite support, outsourced support, IT infrastructure and architecture, and IT training is also key to your responsibilities. - You'll be accountable for the Group's IT & Systems budget, including reporting on expenditure and variances. - Regular assessments of customer IT service satisfaction and leading the team to address any areas of concern will be your responsibility, ensuring strong customer focus and increasing satisfaction levels. - You will review IT training needs across the Group at all levels and create a flexible training delivery solution to enhance IT capability, supported by the Organisational Development Team. - Implementing and maintaining IT & Systems policies, processes, and technologies will be pivotal. - Planning, managing, and overseeing all IT communications to the Group, ensuring clarity and simplicity in messaging, will fall under your purview, supported by the Communications team. - You will lead the team in managing IT suppliers and outsourced services in accordance with agreed service levels, being the final point of escalation for service level issues. - Maintaining the IT Risk Register and reporting internal information security issues to the Board, along with providing solutions and recommendations for resolution, is essential. - Lastly, you will support the Board in managing Group Risk on all IT-related matters, providing monthly reports on risk levels and mitigation efforts.
