Must:
We are looking for adults aged 19 and above who reside in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. We welcome applications from individuals who are currently unemployed or self-employed and seeking work as an AI Developer. You should be able to commit to 60 hours of training during November and December 2025 and actively seek work or self-employment opportunities to demonstrate career impact following your training. Additionally, you must own IT equipment that allows you to access online classes and learning resources.
Responsibilities
As a Trainee AI Developer in our fully funded Skills Bootcamp, you will support the design, development, and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Your focus will be on enhancing automation, improving data-driven decision-making, and enriching user experience. You will engage in various learning activities that align with the key responsibilities of an AI Developer, which include:
1. AI Development and Coding
2. Implementing Machine Learning Workflows
3. User-Centred Design (UCD) and Prototyping
4. Promoting Ethical and Responsible AI
5. Fostering Collaboration and Continuous Learning
Description
This programme combines technical programming capabilities with a strong understanding of user-centred design, ensuring that our AI solutions are ethical, transparent, and practical in real-world settings. Upon successful completion, you will have the essential knowledge and skills needed to secure an AI Developer role, including a strong understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts, proficiency in Python programming, and familiarity with ethical AI principles. To excel in this role, we expect you to demonstrate the behaviours and attributes of successful AI Developers: curiosity and analytical thinking, ethical values emphasizing fairness and inclusivity, collaborative spirit, user-focused design thinking, resilience and adaptability, as well as a detail-oriented approach to data handling and documentation. Career progression opportunities upon successful completion include positions such as AI Developer, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Product Designer, and AI Governance or Compliance Specialist.
