We are looking for a Senior/Lead Application Developer (MERN) with strong skills in advanced JavaScript (NodeJS ES6) technologies, TypeScript, and a solid understanding of best practices. You should have senior development experience using the MERN framework for web application development, and familiarity with DevOps strategies and CI/CD orchestration tools like GitHub Actions and Docker. A detailed knowledge of AWS services, experience with API microservices, API integration with SAP, and unit testing using React Testing Library/Jest, as well as end-to-end test automation with Cypress, are essential.
Responsibilities
As a Senior/Lead Application Developer (MERN), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the MERN technology stack. Your duties will include developing user-facing features with React.js to ensure appealing and responsive interfaces, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement new features, and working with public cloud (AWS) services to enhance our applications. You will be testing applications for performance and functionality, identifying and addressing bugs, glitches, and performance issues to maintain application functionality, and keeping abreast of emerging technologies and trends to contribute to continuous improvement. Additionally, you will write technical documentation and collaborate with other developers and business partners to develop microservices.
Description
This is a contract role within the FMCG sector, offering a remote working opportunity based in the UK. The rate for this position ranges from £500 to £600 per day and is outside of IR35. We are looking for candidates currently working as Application Developers, Software Engineers, Software Developers, Web Developers, Application Engineers, or IT Software Engineers.
