Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who are proficient in Java (latest versions) and Python. You should have strong development experience on Linux platforms and knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks, particularly JUnit 5.x (Jupiter). Familiarity with Git version control and GitLab CI/CD pipelines is essential. Hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies is required, as well as database experience with Oracle and/or MongoDB. Experience using the Atlassian suite, including Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence is also necessary.
Desirable skills include knowledge of Apache NiFi, front-end development with React (JavaScript/TypeScript), working knowledge of Elasticsearch and Kibana, and experience developing for cloud environments, particularly AWS (EC2, EKS, Fargate, IAM, S3, Lambda). An understanding of Hibernate ORM and experience building microservice or serverless architectures, along with knowledge of migrating on-premise applications to cloud environments, would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities throughout the full lifecycle. You'll design, code, test, and debug high-quality software systems while collaborating with stakeholders to interpret and deliver customer requirements. Analyzing system capabilities to resolve queries related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and control techniques will be key.
You will also be responsible for developing operating instructions and maintaining thorough documentation of program development. Supporting the implementation and maturation of CI/CD pipelines, particularly for cloud-based deployments, and working within Agile Scrum teams to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives will be part of your day-to-day tasks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and support junior engineers when appropriate.
