Must:
Job Title: Contract Product Support Engineer
Type: 12-Month Contract
Status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella PAYE)
Rate: £300–£350 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Surrey – Onsite initially, with flexibility for hybrid working thereafter
- Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Systems, or a similar field
- 2–5 years of experience within a product development or technical R&D environment
- Hands-on understanding of wireless technology, IoT systems, and digital platforms
- Practical experience with fault-finding, debugging, and test execution
- Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
- Strong analytical mindset and structured documentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in collaborating across different cultures and disciplines
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for digital solutions and IoT platforms used across multiple countries
- Support the design, testing, and validation of new digital and connected products
- Assist with global product launches and creation of technical documentation
- Design and execute test plans in the in-house development lab
- Track and resolve technical issues in line with formal change control procedures
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Technical Leads to deliver best-in-class technical outcomes
Description
This position focuses on testing, validation, and technical support for innovative connected products being rolled out across global markets. As a Contract Product Support Engineer in Surrey, I will play a key part in supporting both current and next-generation product development, taking designs from feasibility through to testing and global product launch. I am looking for a technically minded engineer who is ready for their next challenge.
