Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of backend engineering experience delivering production APIs and services. You should have strong knowledge of AWS, including IAM, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, storage (S3), and messaging (SNS/SQS). Proficiency in Go is required, or strong experience in Java, C#, or Rust with a willingness to transition into Go. A strong background in secure, scalable cloud systems and CI/CD pipelines is essential. You should be comfortable working independently in a small, startup-style environment and have familiarity with Docker. Experience in mentoring or leading projects would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will design, build, and maintain Go microservices and APIs for web and mobile applications. You'll be responsible for delivering secure and resilient systems using AWS-native services like Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway, and SNS/SQS. You will build event-driven and serverless solutions as needed, integrate with payment platforms and external APIs, and containerize and deploy services with Docker to ensure consistent environments. You will manage infrastructure and automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines, specifically Bitbucket Pipelines. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with frontend and mobile engineers to shape APIs and enhance performance, as well as monitoring and optimizing production systems.
