We are looking for a proven track record of leading two engineering teams, with a total of 10-20 engineers, in a fast-paced SaaS or product-focused environment. You should have a strong technical background, ideally having transitioned from full-stack or backend engineering into a leadership role. Experience with AWS, TypeScript/JavaScript (React, Node.js), and modern CI/CD pipelines is essential. Additionally, you should demonstrate the ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing engineers. We value pragmatic and outcome-oriented leaders who emphasize clear communication, accountability, and technical craftsmanship. Experience in scaling systems and teams for enterprise-grade, cloud-native products is also required.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead, mentor, and coach multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality software in an agile, collaborative environment. You will build and retain top-tier talent and foster a culture of ownership, inclusion, and technical excellence while guiding career growth through one-on-one meetings, feedback, and development planning. Partnering with senior engineers and architects, you will define long-term technical strategies that align with our platform goals. You will ensure the drive best practices in engineering, testing, DevOps, and CI/CD automation while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability across systems primarily built in React, Node.js, Python, and AWS. Moreover, you will work closely with product management and design to prioritize roadmaps and ensure alignment of technical delivery with business outcomes. You will be responsible for clearly communicating across both technical and non-technical audiences, linking engineering progress to commercial value and supporting coordination across time zones and distributed teams in the US and EU. Owning delivery KPIs, you will strive for improvements in developer productivity through tooling, automation, and process refinement.
