Requirements
Must:
- I seek candidates with significant commercial experience in developing enterprise-grade software in Python.
- You should have exposure to or a strong interest in Rust for systems-level development.
- Experience in building scalable distributed systems and cloud services (SaaS, PaaS) is essential.
- Database skills in both SQL and NoSQL are necessary.
- Competence in multiple programming languages, including Python and ideally Rust, C++, or TypeScript, is required.
- Familiarity with design patterns, OO principles, and software best practices is expected.
- I value strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- A track record of delivering results with autonomy and accountability is important.
- You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- You will develop robust services in Python for enterprise-scale distributed systems.
- Apply best practices in object-oriented design, refactoring, and scalable architecture.
- Contribute to Rust components and participate in cross-training in modern systems languages.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and QA to design, review, test, and deploy solutions.
- Deliver horizontally scalable, cloud-native applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Triage and resolve complex issues within distributed systems.
- Engage in Agile rituals, mentor peers, and continuously improve the engineering process.
