Requirements
Must:
- 3 years of experience developing customer-facing web/software applications.
- Strong Python and Django expertise.
- Proven ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs using Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Solid understanding of version control (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work in distributed teams.
- Bonus points for experience with Postgres and CentOS, background in requirement gathering, experience with OS package upgrades, familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), exposure to monitoring/logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana), contributions to open-source projects, and previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs while adhering to best practices and TDD principles.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust features.
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence key technical decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, implementing long-term solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure strong observability practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to solve complex challenges.
