Requirements
Must:
- I require a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role.
- A Bachelor's or postgraduate degree from a reputable university in a relevant field is essential.
- AWS certification is a strong advantage.
- I seek a candidate with strong fundamentals in computer science, software architecture, and system design.
- Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS, is crucial.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure, either on AWS or other major platforms, is needed.
- Solid experience with Java, ideally including Spring Boot, is expected.
- Database design and management experience, preferably with PostgreSQL, is necessary.
- Familiarity with queue-based systems, ideally Kafka, is advantageous.
- I look for candidates familiar with Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, JIRA, and the Atlassian suite.
- Strong testing practices, including unit, integration, and functional testing, are required.
- DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized systems, and automated deployments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- In this role, I will expect you to design, architect, and build enterprise-grade systems.
- You will be developing tools, reports, and data feeds to support trading, operations, and risk teams.
- It is essential for you to ensure high standards of software quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational resilience.
- You will contribute to cross-company technology initiatives that support broader business and operational goals.
- I need you to work closely with Heads of business lines and front-office trading teams to implement and maintain core systems.
- Leading the engineering team and fostering a strong engineering culture will be an important part of your duties.
- You will coordinate with teams abroad and contribute to planning, hiring, and performance reviews.
