Requirements
Must:
- Proven leadership as a Senior or Lead Engineer in product-led organizations
- Strong backend engineering skills across multiple languages and frameworks
- Experience with cloud-native platforms and containerized deployments
- Track record of delivering high-scale, data-intensive applications
- Ability to balance hands-on coding with mentoring and team leadership
- A collaborative mindset and passion for building great software
- Nice to have: Experience with open-source product development, payments, licensing, or SaaS domain expertise, and a background in security, DevOps, or data engineering
Responsibilities
- Lead a distributed engineering team, setting standards for delivery and code quality
- Drive technical design and architecture decisions across services and platforms
- Build and scale back-end services in Node and Python
- Design and optimize data models across PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch
- Deliver infrastructure and DevOps improvements across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub CI/CD, GitLab CI, Datadog, Grafana, and CloudWatch
- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features that matter
- Champion testing and quality with TDD, BDD, unit, and integration testing
- Mentor engineers, provide coaching, and grow team capability
