Requirements
Must:
- Strong commercial experience with Java and JVM performance optimisation
- Solid grounding in event driven architecture
- Experience building distributed systems
- Hands on AWS experience across ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis or similar
- Strong foundation in object oriented development with Java, C#, Go or Python (for Mid Level Engineers)
- Desire to build deep JVM expertise with mentoring and support (for Mid Level Engineers)
- Understanding of cloud native systems and modern delivery practices (for Mid Level Engineers)
- Exposure to financial systems or low latency engineering (nice to have)
- Experience in trading, payments, capital markets or fintech (nice to have)
- Knowledge of digital assets and crypto native systems (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cloud native distributed systems
- Engineer highly available, event driven architectures
- Develop JVM based services with a focus on performance and scale
- Optimise runtime behaviour and troubleshoot production workloads
- Contribute to system design, code reviews and engineering best practice
- Partner with product, platform and operations teams
- Ship reliable, secure, well tested software into production
