Requirements
Must:
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Advanced Python programming skills for data manipulation, automation, and modeling.
- Strong SQL experience and familiarity with modern data stack tooling.
- Proficiency with ETL/ELT design, data ingestion, and pipeline optimization.
- Experience working with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and large datasets.
- Comfortable navigating CRM data structures (e.g., Salesforce).
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and cloud-based data engineering (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a bonus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations between platforms (e.g., CRM, customer success, analytics tools).
- Develop automated data workflows that support dashboards, health scoring, churn models, and other predictive analytics.
- Own system integration and data ingestion activities across customer and operational datasets.
- Ensure data reliability, consistency, and availability for reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to improve data quality, governance, and hygiene.
- Support A/B testing frameworks and experimentation infrastructure.
- Drive cross-functional data initiatives, including AI/ML readiness projects.
Description
We are hiring a Data Engineer with strong Python skills to support the evolution of a data platform within a global cybersecurity context. You'll be sitting at the heart of a cross-functional data and customer success team, where you will build robust data pipelines, drive system integrations, and help unlock critical insights across the business. This is a hands-on engineering role where your ability to turn complex data into usable, actionable outcomes will directly impact customer satisfaction, retention, and product evolution. You will have the opportunity to solve meaningful data problems in a critical infrastructure sector and be the Python expert behind intelligent data systems that drive retention and growth. We offer hybrid flexibility with a Belfast base, with a standard of 3 days per week on-site, autonomy, ownership, and the chance to shape data strategy across the organization.
