Requirements

Must:
We require candidates who have experience delivering large-scale UK and global change programmes, such as restructuring, redundancy, TUPE, and senior exits. You should possess a strong track record of working with unions and employee forums, managing consultation processes from start to finish. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills are essential. You need to be confident working with complex data sets and possess strong Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables. Additionally, we seek commercially astute, detail-oriented, and resilient individuals who are able to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Experience in large, matrixed organizations is also necessary.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will expect you to lead HR delivery for complex change programmes, ensuring all governance and control requirements are met. You will take ownership of people impact assessments, selection pools, and due diligence processes. I need you to develop and deliver consultation strategies—both collective and individual—with unions, works councils, and employee forums. You will design structured communication plans and prepare all supporting materials, including scripts, letters, FAQs, and manager briefing packs. Partnering closely with HR Operations, Legal, and other specialist teams will be crucial for ensuring alignment and smooth execution. I also want you to identify risks, escalate issues, and contribute to continuous improvement across the workforce change function. Providing subject matter expertise to senior stakeholders while balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery will be key aspects of your role.

This is a fixed-term contract for six months, initially, with the potential for extension, based in London, Glasgow, or Northampton, and offering a hybrid working arrangement. The salary for this role pays up to £85,000.
