Requirements
Must:
- At least 2 years of hands-on IT experience, particularly with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Solid knowledge of hardware setup and configuration.
- Based locally to Guildford (within about an hour’s commute) – this role isn’t suitable for relocation.
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport.
- We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
- A genuine passion for helping people and solving problems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to know when to escalate.
- Clear, professional communication – both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
- Be the friendly first point of contact for IT issues – from laptops that won’t start to Outlook that’s gone rogue.
- Set up and configure laptops, desktops, and peripherals, ensuring new starters hit the ground running and existing users stay productive.
- Help colleagues maximize their use of Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Power Automate.
- Manage user accounts by overseeing onboarding and offboarding, maintaining access permissions, and keeping systems secure.
- Keep track of IT kit, software licenses, and supplies, and coordinate repairs or replacements when needed.
- Maintain clear support records, guides, and asset logs to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and Microsoft when escalations are required.
