Must:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Officer (ITSO) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining information security policies and procedures. You must demonstrate a solid understanding of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and information systems. Familiarity with legislative compliance and best practices in cybersecurity is essential. Strong collaboration skills are required, as you will work closely with the Information Systems Office teams and the Data Protection and Governance Officer.
Responsibilities
As the IT Security Officer, you will take the lead in safeguarding our information assets and adopting a proactive stance against evolving cybersecurity threats. Your role will include aligning security practices with our regulatory requirements and business objectives. You will be instrumental in strengthening our defenses and promoting a security-conscious culture throughout the organization. In addition, you will engage in various learning and development activities, play a key part in our health and wellbeing initiatives, and oversee security-related projects that enhance our commitment to information security.
Description

Our compensation package includes a competitive salary range of £69,032 - £71,083, excellent pension provisions, and a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 25 days, increasing by one day each year up to a maximum of 30 days. Additionally, you will receive 12 public and privilege holidays each year. We also provide free on-site parking and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
