Requirements

Must:
### - Strong systems thinking with the ability to design resilient setups that include clear fail paths and backups. - Proficient in Windows for live event deployment, including optimization and stability. - Familiarity with Linux services for back-ends, edge devices, or deployment targets. - Solid experience integrating mixed hardware (cameras, printers, robotics, lighting triggers, sensors, etc.). - Practical experience with HTML/CSS. - Good grounding in common programming languages. - Experience working with REST APIs/webhooks, third-party services, and authentication flows. - Personal skills: calm and decisive; clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical people; ability to spot risks early and build around them; comfortable owning timelines and outcomes with minimal oversight; willingness to travel and lead on-site when required. - A full UK driving licence is a bonus. ###

Responsibilities

- Own the technical aspects of activations from pre-production to delivery, ensuring builds are solid and delivered to specifications while training and supporting operations teams. - Design and build event systems combining cameras, electronics, printers, web front ends, and back-end services/APIs. - Make technical decisions for projects, swiftly resolving problems to keep activations live. - Improve reliability and scalability through better system design, deployment processes, QA, and fallback plans. - Collaborate with Creative and Sales teams to assess possibilities, accurately estimate effort, and guide clients to optimal solutions. - Create reusable frameworks and patterns for common builds like photo journeys, data capture, print pipelines, and robotic workflows. - Mentor technicians to enhance technical standards across the team. - Support research and prototyping, translating findings back into product development. ###
