Requirements
Must:
- I require candidates to hold 5 GCSEs including English and Maths; Computer Science and Physics are preferred.
- A full UK driving licence is necessary.
- Candidates should have experience in IT services provision and first-line support in a helpdesk or Managed Service Provider environment, although this is not essential.
- A solid understanding of general IT and computing, along with basic physics and electronics, is important.
- Familiarity with networking, protocols, and server architecture such as LANs/WANs, switches, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and Active Directory is desirable.
- I am looking for proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft technologies, including MS365 Office products and recent macOS.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, and Intune administration is beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills are essential for identifying user needs and maintaining productive client relationships.
- I need candidates with outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- An ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems is required.
- Candidates must exhibit the ability to prioritise under pressure and manage their workload responsibly while being ready to escalate issues when necessary.
- A commitment to exceeding expectations and meeting SMART objectives is crucial.
- Flexibility to work within a dynamic office environment and undertake additional duties as required is expected.
Responsibilities
- I need you to provide the highest standard of technical support to our clients in a timely and competent manner.
- Support our Partners by understanding and effectively meeting the needs of the business.
- Respond to 1st-line user support requests in person, via phone, email, and remote access, both in the office and at client premises.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware repairs and upgrades, operating systems, software installation, updates, configuration, data backup and recovery, and malware detection and removal.
- Perform system administration, monitoring, and management, including installing and maintaining desktops, laptops, and printers, and configuring network architecture (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Utilize proactive RMM tools, and plan and execute OS and application patching and updates.
- Maintain prompt and comprehensive job logging and tracking (incident and service request lifecycle management), and manage materials and client records, internal reporting, and client communication.
- Compose external communications detailing methodologies and processes and generate instructional material.
- Investigate new industry technologies, products, solutions, and best practices, proposing and implementing new or improved business practices.
