Requirements
Must:
- Experience of supporting IT systems and infrastructure, including cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft 365
- Confidence in working across a range of technologies, including user devices and classroom AV systems
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of technical issues
- Strong communication skills for interaction with both technical and non-technical users
- Educated to at least SCQF Level 7 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
- Higher qualification or relevant certifications desirable
- Experience of working in an educational environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with IT service management approaches is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high-quality IT services across the College
- Maintain and enhance the Colleges IT systems, infrastructure, and digital learning environment
- Provide responsive, user-focused technical support to staff and students
- Ensure technology effectively supports learning, teaching, and business operations
- Handle day-to-day IT support and systems administration
- Contribute to digital development projects as required
Description
We are Newbattle Abbey College, seeking an IT Services and Digital Support Officer to join our unique College at an exciting stage of its development. This part-time (0.8 FTE, 28 hours per week), permanent role offers a salary of £34,927–£37,924 pro rata, accompanied by a generous pension scheme and holiday allowance. You will be part of a committed and supportive team in a beautiful environment, and your work will have an immediate impact on staff, students, and the wider College community.
