Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for someone with strong experience in Linux system administration and scripting.
- You should have demonstrable experience working with endpoint devices, ideally thin clients like eLux.
- Hands-on knowledge of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) is essential.
- You must have the ability to troubleshoot OS-level issues and system performance concerns.
- Experience in uploading and managing Linux system builds at scale is required.
- You should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with network optimization and security principles is necessary.
Responsibilities
- I would like you to lead the deployment, configuration, and testing of new eLux builds across 100k endpoints.
- I expect you to implement and validate device-based and user-based authentication mechanisms using Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
- You will work with internal teams and Zscaler support to troubleshoot and remediate issues related to system builds and endpoint behavior.
- I need you to upload, manage, and maintain Linux-based system images and configurations.
- Performing root cause analysis on Linux system issues, including core OS and application layer debugging, will be part of your role.
- You will support performance testing and provide input into optimization strategies for voice/video offload from the core network.
- I want you to liaise with technical stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and resolution of blockers, particularly those tied to performance-related concerns from business units.
Description
This is a contract position for a Linux SME focused on eLux and Zscaler. The ideal start date is as soon as possible, and the duration is six months. The rate for this position is £500-550 per day and is deemed inside IR35. The work will be hybrid, requiring you to be onsite in Sheffield two to three days a week while also allowing for remote work. The reference for this position is 18541.
