Requirements
Must:
- In-depth experience with Arista technologies
- Strong skills in VXLAN and EVPN
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer in data center environments
- Expertise in Cisco and Arista network configurations
- Ability to design and implement robust and scalable data center network architectures
- Familiarity with Layer 2/3 networking protocols (VLANs, STP, BGP, OSPF, EVPN)
- Ability to work on-site 2 days a week
- Willingness to perform weekend work during migrations/deployments
- On-call availability (paid)
Responsibilities
- Deliver a migration project for a global bank, transitioning from legacy Cisco to Arista network technology
- Participate in advanced network configuration and administration
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues in data center environments
- Work on the design and implementation of network architectures
- Configure and manage networking protocols
- Collaborate with multi-vendor environments using both Cisco and Arista technologies
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Network Engineer to join our team for a 6-month contract. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home while requiring you to be onsite in Cheshire, SE London, or Surrey for two days a week. You will play a crucial role in migrating legacy Cisco technology to Arista solutions for a global bank.
