Requirements
Must:
- Experience as a Data Centre/Lab Analyst with a blend of technical and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with the transition processes of Data Centre Labs and the ability to interpret and summarize testing results for hardware and software.
- Strong background in x86 hardware and associated components (such as DELL, Lenovo, HPE, Intel), servers, and network equipment.
- Experience in installing and removing IT equipment in laboratory settings.
- Ability to document and review processes and results for client communication, either live or in PDF format.
- Flexibility in working hours to coordinate with team members in the US.
- Completion of background checks prior to starting the contract.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Data Centre Lab transitions and document differences identified in testing results related to hardware and software.
- Liaise with end clients and IT teams to ensure alignment of test results.
- Conduct daily standup meetings to share testing updates, interesting results, and comparisons of test differences.
- Gather requirements from the client and facilitate the creation and setup of tests within the Technology Centre.
- Use spare server kits to provision and power on already racked equipment.
- Regularly create and review documentation that is shared with clients.
Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Centre/Lab Analyst for an immediate contract with a leading Systems Integrator. This role is ideal for someone with a technical background in Data Centres who has transitioned into a Business Analyst or Project Manager position. The contract will last for 6 months, located in Wakefield with a hybrid working model, offering a competitive rate of £340-360 a day (deemed inside IR35). Please note that we are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
