Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in administering Microsoft SQL Server
- Hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL and MySQL database administration
- Strong understanding of T-SQL, SQL query optimization, and database internals
- Experience in automating routine tasks with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or SQL based scripting
- Familiarity with operating in both on-prem and cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Must be a British Citizen, eligible for SC Clearance or already cleared
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot database performance issues
- Implement security measures for data protection
- Automate routine database tasks to enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with the existing team to ensure seamless database operations

Description
We are Network IT, currently recruiting for a SQL DBA to support our client in Milton Keynes on a 6-month initial contract. This role offers the opportunity to work 3 days a week on-site and 2 days remotely, allowing for a flexible working arrangement. We seek a SQL specialist with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server administration and experience in cloud environments. Our client values expertise and offers competitive daily rates.
