Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP), along with strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation. You should have experience managing user access and permissions across enterprise systems and a demonstrated track record of leading reporting or data-related projects. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to confidently troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolutions. Strong organizational skills are a must, allowing you to manage your workload across multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

As the Oracle Data & Reporting Systems Lead, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher reports. You will serve as the first point of contact for end users and will write, troubleshoot, and tune SQL for reporting, analysis, and integrations. You will lead data and reporting projects from scoping and requirements to deployment, act as the technical lead on reporting improvements and integrations with other core systems, and manage user access and data security to ensure compliance with GDPR and internal standards. You will support the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including configuration and monitoring, produce documentation and training materials, and provide user guidance. You will also deliver 2nd-line support and incident resolution through ServiceNow, championing continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting performance and processes.

Description

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000, and the position is based in Birmingham with a hybrid work model requiring two days in the office each week. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and data integrity, acting as the expert for Oracle reporting and access control. If you are someone who enjoys being hands-on with Oracle reporting tools while taking ownership of data governance and system optimization in a large-scale environment, we encourage you to apply.
