- Experience in relevant roles, including technologies in enterprise and virtual environments and working within secure environments.
- Experience of networking architecture:
- Network Topology and configuration
- Wireless network architecture
- Firewalls
- Network load balancing
- Inter/intra site connectivity
- Virtual private network configuration
- Public cloud connectivity
- Experience creating technical and architectural documents such as options assessments, low and high-level technical designs.
- Experience of requirements management and ownership of deliverables.
- Working knowledge of auditing and security products configuration.
- A comprehensive understanding of NCSC, GDS, CIS, Cyber Essentials, and NIST IT security principles, along with experience in UK government technology strategies and policies.
- Desirable: Worked in a matrix organisation structure.
- Desirable: IT Technical qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Desirable: TOGAF or equivalent experience.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Public cloud offerings.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and management of key national security capabilities for a major government body.
- Work with customers, engineering, and development teams to support solutions and maintain key business relationships within government and capability.
- Ensure the security of the nation through providing key technical inputs and governance.
- Create and maintain technical and architectural documentation as needed.
- Manage requirements and oversee deliverables throughout the contract.
Description
We are seeking a Network Architect to join our team on a 6-month contract based in Milton Keynes. This role is critical for supporting a major government body in delivering national security capabilities. We offer a competitive daily rate of £600 and require SC Clearance. You will work collaboratively with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure the safety and integrity of the nations security systems.
