Requirements
Must:
- Previous Cyber / Security leadership or management experience, ideally within a public sector or local authority environment
- Knowledge of key security frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR and Cyber Essentials
- Technical skillset within the Microsoft Security Stack, including Sentinel, Defender, and E5
- Ability to manage and mentor a junior security analyst, acting as a technical point of escalation when needed
- Able to support in the onboarding of an external SOC Partner
- General IT Security experience, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, SIEM, firewalls
- Able to contribute towards the security strategy for the next 2-3 years
- Able to commute to site 3 days per week
Responsibilities
- Mentor and manage a junior Security Analyst
- Work alongside the infrastructure team managing the day-to-day IT environment
- Remain hands-on with the security tooling and processes
- Contribute knowledge towards strategy and architectural decisions
- Handle technical escalations related to security incidents
- Support in the onboarding of an external SOC Partner
Description
We are Network IT, currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Manager to join our local authority client for a 5-month initial contract. This role requires you to be onsite 3 days per week in Greater London, where you will collaborate with the security analyst and infrastructure team. We value your expertise in the Microsoft Security stack and your ability to shape the security strategy for the future.
