Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a senior infrastructure or systems engineering role.
- Demonstrated technical competency across several of the following: Microsoft Server Operating Systems, M365 Ecosystem, Microsoft Azure, MS SQL, Firewalls, Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, Microsoft Intune / Autopilot, MDR systems (e.g., Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike), IT Security Principles, DNS, and Monitoring Solutions.
- Ideally, sector experience in retail, manufacturing, warehouse distribution, or Digital Marketing.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and support a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Highly organized and structured with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear communication skills to build trust and influence across teams.
- Enthusiasm for technology and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Act as deputy to the Cloud and Infrastructure Manager, providing senior-level technical expertise.
- Lead and inspire the Infrastructure team, mentoring others to grow their expertise.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure all systems are secure, patched, resilient, and proactively monitored, leading on IT security.
- Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
- Provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure improvements, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
- Keep clear, up-to-date documentation and procedures supporting operational excellence.
- Partner with teams across Technology and the wider business to deliver infrastructure projects.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
