Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in cloud architecture and knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks. You should have experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager. Additionally, an understanding of monitoring, logging, and network security is essential. A consulting mindset with clear communication skills is important, as well as the ability to work cohesively with teams. Cloud security certifications and experience in the defence or public sector, Kubernetes/container security, and Python/Bash scripting are considered a bonus.
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Architect, you will design and implement secure cloud architectures, focusing on areas like Identity Access Management (IAM), encryption, and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) configurations. You will lead risk assessments, gap analyses, and threat modelling to ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, NCSC Principles, and ISO 27001. Your role will involve configuring cloud-native security tools and integrating them with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems like Splunk and Chronicle. You will also embed security within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, support incident response, and facilitate recovery for cloud-native environments.
