Requirements
Must:
We require extensive experience in AI, Data Strategy, and Technology Leadership. You should have a strong understanding of data governance, analytics, and machine learning, along with a proven track record of aligning data initiatives with organizational goals. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You should also have strong digital skills and a solid understanding of agile values and principles. Lastly, a criminal record check/DBS disclosure will be required upon offer of the position.
Responsibilities
In this new role, you will develop and execute our organization’s overall AI strategy, vision, and roadmap. You will build strong relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, acting as a key liaison for all AI-related matters. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers, you will scope and deliver strategic AI projects that support our mission. Furthermore, you will drive innovation by staying current with emerging AI technologies, evaluate new applications, and identify strategic AI opportunities for the charity to lead, partner, or adopt. It will be important to align AI initiatives with broader business objectives and long-term goals.
Description
At the National Deaf Children's Society, we are exploring how AI can help us work smarter and deliver even better support to deaf children, young people, and their families. We have seen promising results over the past year, and we are now ready to take the next step. As the leading charity for deaf children, we provide expert support on childhood deafness, raise awareness, and campaign for deaf children's rights to ensure they have the same opportunities as everyone else. We offer a 12-month fixed-term contract, with home-based working and flexible hours. Employees receive 25 days of holiday (plus an additional 3 days at Christmas and bank holidays), a pension with a 5.5% employer contribution, a healthcare cash plan, and an annual performance-based salary increase. We also provide Employee Assistance and Wellbeing Programmes to support our team.
