Requirements
Must:
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python, with a strong background in software design and decomposition.
- Proven track record in software development, particularly in web development frameworks such as CherryPy or Flask (experience is highly desirable but not essential).
- Experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools, such as SQLAlchemy, and a solid understanding of plain SQL.
- Knowledge of web standards, including HTML, JavaScript, JSON, and React.
- Familiarity with Oracle or PostgreSQL, and the ability to write SQL queries while guiding model developers with their data queries.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Background in statistical model development within banking or financial services is beneficial, especially for roles involving analytical or statistical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support web-based applications, ensuring the production of resilient and long-lived software that adheres to current non-functional requirements while remaining adaptable for future needs.
- Assess user requirements and stories to determine effort and resource allocation effectively.
- Internally validate all code written for yourself and peers to maintain high standards of quality.
- Manage environments and oversee code through quality assurance and release processes.
- Support and mentor team members to deliver code that meets established standards and processes.

In this key role as a Python Developer, you will lead and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to design, build, and deliver valuable web-based solutions to our internal customers. You will partner with both business and technical stakeholders to drive high-quality development throughout our organization. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure as you educate and share insights on opportunities and advancements in web-based applications across the bank.
