Requirements
Must:
- Knowledge and experience of portfolio management theories, models, and practices
- Strong understanding of project, programme, and governance frameworks
- Experience delivering portfolio analysis in a technology or IT environment
- Good interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with financial tracking
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in PMO processes, reporting standards, and portfolio assurance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for delivery teams, executives, or similar
Responsibilities
- Support programme and project managers across various delivery tasks, including reporting, forecasting, and communications
- Monitor portfolio, programme, and project performance across cost, schedule, resource scope, and RAID (Risk, Assumption, Issue, and Dependency)
- Provide actionable insights for different stakeholders
- Collaborate with Programme Leads, Architects, and Control Owners to track key milestones
- Maintain a high-level portfolio plan and schedule for four-, six-, and eight-week milestones
- Support management of architecture outcomes to ensure alignment with design specifications
- Provide MI and stakeholder feedback to support regular reviews of the change portfolio
- Produce, develop, and maintain relevant, timely, and accurate reporting
- Aid in preparation for formal governance forums across the portfolio
- Monitor portfolio financial performance to ensure accuracy of financial forecasting and adherence to approved budgets
- Ensure the portfolio adheres to defined governance frameworks such as Idea to Value
- Support change control and benefits tracking to ensure delivery to defined commitments
