Requirements
Must:
- Active SC clearance (DV preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with Python3 automation development
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Scripting experience in Bash and/or PowerShell
- Experience automating server, network and storage technologies
- Exposure to large infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Version control experience (Git / BitBucket)
- Relevant certification (e.g. CCNP, VCP, RHCE, OCA) highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and validate automation components for secure Defence platform
- Reverse engineer legacy and manual build processes into parameterised, zero-touch automation packages
- Produce production-quality code
- Contribute to design artefacts
- Support system testing
- Work within Agile teams using the Atlassian toolset
Description
We are a client delivering critical infrastructure automation capability across a large-scale UK Defence platform, operating within a highly secure environment. Our team is responsible for developing zero-touch, automated infrastructure solutions across complex, multi-vendor estates. We offer a day rate of up to £700, with hybrid working options based in Corsham, and provide exposure to a long-term Defence programme and modern DevOps tooling in an Agile delivery environment.
